- San Vito dei Normanni -
The history of San Vito Dei Normanni dates back to the Byzantines; the main square has evolved around the castle and 12th century tower.
The town is full of character with bars, ice cream parlours, restaurants/pizzerias eat in or take-away, plus all the amenities that can be expected from a typical town of the region.
The town festival week is usually the first week of July (Please check with us for exact dates).
Parking in the town centre is free and easily available within the designated areas.
The tourist town of Ostuni "La Cittŕ Bianca", with its historical centre, is not far from San Vito Dei Normanni and worth a visit. The festival week of Ostuni is at the end of August.
Ryan Air offers flights from Stanstead to Brindisi 25 Kilometres from the villa. Alitalia has flights from London Heathrow to Brindisi with a change at Rome or Milan. There are also Ryan Air, British Airways and Alitalia flights to Bari 130 Kilometres away.

Ostuni "La Citta’ Bianca" is 11 kilometers from San Vito Dei Normanni.
It is called the "White City" due to its whitewashed buildings in the old quarter of the town called "La Terra" by the locals. The old centre is placed on the highest hill with the recently refurbished gothic Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. It is a labyrinth of lanes, stairs, arches and doorways.
There are many bars, restaurants, ice cream parlours & tourist gift shops.
Villanova also known as Ostuni's Marina is on the coast it has a few restaurants & bars.
