- Location -
Villa Azzurra is in a residential area called “Contrada Giannaricchiella” which is four kilometers from the centre of San Vito Dei Normannni. The villa is a tranquil part of San Vito Dei Normanni with numerous holiday villas. The town is not "touristy" but typically Italian. You can eat and drink well locally at very reasonable prices. Children are welcomed in most restaurant & bars, it is quite normal for an Italian family to take the children out for a meal and a walk in the square late at night especially in the warm summer evenings. The bars, restaurants and takeaways in the town are open till late. The numerous beaches, coastal restaurants and bars are a 12 kilometres drive from the villa. Ostuni 16 kilometres. Lecce 40 minutes drive, Ionian Sea 50 minutes drive, Adriatic Sea 15 minutes drive. Large supermarket 5 minutes drive, 24hour petrol station 5 minutes drive.
- Nearby Activities & Places of Interest -
Horse Riding in Santa Sabina (Carovigno) 20 minutes from “Villa Azzurra” and Aquarossa just outside Ostuni, 35 minutes from “Villa Azzurra”. Tennis in San Vito and Carovigno. Sailing in Brindisi (Porto Turistico). Go-Karting 5 minutes from San Vito. The Zoo in Fasano is approximately an hours drive away. The caves in Castellana and Alberobello the Trulli capital are a must. Great American mall style shopping in Brindisi and Mesagne. Weekly Markets in the nearby towns different days of the week. Local Masserie to visit and taste the local produce (Olive Oil, Preserves & Wine). Lecce “The Florence of the South” or the “Baroque Capital of the South” is easy to get to from San Vito. The Cript of Saint Bagio is just outside San Vito, an important part of the town’s history, is worth a visit too.
- The accommodation -
The villa can accommodate up to four guests. There are two bedrooms and two modern en-suite shower rooms, lounge with open plan kitchen breakfast room and a covered veranda. The property has air-conditioning units with heaters and an open fireplace in the lounge.
- To the Outside -
The villa is enclosed with electric gates and has parking for two cars.
- Inside the Villa -
The lounge with a sofa, armchairs, coffee table, air-conditioning unit, Digital TV, stereo system and an open fireplace is very comfortable for both summer and winter lets.
The kitchen (Open Plan) is fully equipped for those wishing to dine in. All the appliances have been provided including a coffee maker. The dining/breakfast area has a dining table and chairs for four.
The main bedroom has a king size bed and a walk in wardrobe. The second bedroom has a sofa with two single pull out beds. Linen and towels are provided.
- The Veranda -
The veranda to the front of the villa has ample seating providing the ideal spot in the shade to enjoy some of the local wines
- The Garden -
The garden is landscaped, well maintained with a variety of palms and ornamental trees. To the side of the villa there is a coved area for dining al fresco and an outside kitchen which has the traditional brick pizza oven.
- The Pool Area -
The pool is situated at the front of the villa and is for sole use of the “Villa Azzurra” guests.
The swimming pool, with steps, is 10 metres by 4. Sun loungers have been provided.
- Getting to “Villa Azzurra ” -
A hire car is essential to get about. All airports have hire car facilities. There are taxis but they need to be pre-booked and are expensive compared with the UK prices. The nearest airport is Brindisi 15 miles / 21 kilometres from San Vito Dei Normanni. Brindisi is a Ryan Air and Alitalia destination airport. Ryan Air flies direct from London – Stansted. Alitalia flies from London – Heathrow with a flight change at Rome. Bari is the next nearest airport 78 miles / 125 kilometres mainly a fast moving dual carriageway. Bari is a British Airways (from London - Gatwick) and Ryan Air (from London – Stansted) destination airport. Many of our guests drive over from Naples International (Approximately four Hours Drive). The roads are very good.
- A meeting point in San Vito will be arranged and you will be guided to the property -
- Welcome Pack -
A welcome pack which contains local wine and a few essentials for the first night and morning are included.
- Smoking Policy -
Smoking is permitted in the Villa.
- Rental Rates -
1,700.00 EUROS per week.
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
Change over day is flexible.
Payments are preferred in Euros to an Italian bank account.
A 30% non refundable deposit is required at the time of booking, the remaining balance and refundable damages deposit of €300 are due six weeks prior to holiday date.
Sheet & house towel change plus basic clean every seven days included.
Additional cleaning and linen change can be provided upon request.
The refundable damages deposit will be refunded within 7 days of departure subject to satisfactory final inspection & inventory
- Conditions -
Parents must take the responsibility for the children and they must be supervised at all times especially when using the pool.
Smoking is allowed at the villa. Sorry no pets.
The pool is only available in the summer months. Please check with us prior to booking.

- Carovigno (BR) -
A recently modernized stone Lamia set in the countryside a few kilometres from the centre of Carovigno. A one bedroom pied-a-terre comprising: bedroom with air conditioning, shower room and kitchen – diner. The very large covered veranda is ideal for dining al fresco and offers a great area for relaxing in the hot summer afternoons. The lamia has its own private gated entrance and ample parking.

375.00 Euros to 450.00 Euros per week plus electricity consumption (At cost) dependent on season, occupancy and duration of visit. Please note Prices are subject to change at the owner’s discretion.

- Outskirts of Ceglie Messapica (BR) -
For rent a beautifully restored stone Lamia with fantastic views. The holiday home is ideally located in a residential area 2 km from Ceglie Messapica, 13 km from Ostuni “The white city”, 16 km from Martina Franca and approximately 25 km from the nearest beaches of the Adriatic Sea. Ceglie Messapica is well known for its fine cuisine and many restaurants can be found in the town as well as all the facilities required.
Brindisi airport 36 kilometres. Bari airport 120 kilometres.
Both airports are Ryan Air destinations, direct flights from London - Stanstead.
BA has flights into Bari from London - Gatwick.
Alitalia flies to both to Bari and Brindisi from London - Heathrow with a change over either in Rome or Milan.
The property is approached via a private drive and has ample parking.
The studio accommodation comprises double bedroom, two shower rooms (One outside), fully equipped kitchen, sitting area with sofa bed to accommodate two further guests, patio with outside kitchen and covered veranda.
The outside kitchen has a wood burning pizza oven, and a BBQ area.
The air conditioning unit also has a heating element to provide warmth in the cooler months.
- Rental Rates -
80.00 to 150.00 Euros per night plus electricity consumption (At cost) dependent on season, occupancy and duration of visit. There is a 60.00 Euro cleaning charge which includes the use of bed linen and house towels.
Minimum booking required is three nights. Please note Prices are subject to change at the owner’s discretion.
A (Refundable) damages deposit of 200 Euros will be required upon arrival.

- Location -
The villa is a few minutes drive form San Michele Salentino. A typical Southern Italian town with The main Square, cafes and pizzerias, it also has numerous mini markets and a good selection of shops (green grocers & butchers) selling local produce. San Vito dei Normanni is about 10mins drive away. A larger town with more shops, bars restaurants, a Lidl, a large Famila, Penny Mart and Eurospin supermarkets, a great selection of places to eat in the evening and the "Corso" with shops and boutiques.
- Villa San Giacomo-
The Villa is totally enclosed with ample secure parking for several cars. There are outside living areas with lighting for those evenings "Al Fresco". The property is easy to find, it is rural but not secluded. There is a shared drive through a vine yard leading to two separate villas each with their own gate and gardens.
To the front of Villa San Giacomo there is a covered veranda sheltering the front door and a large paved area, providing ample parking, with a variety of fruit trees either side providing shade and interest. Guests can help themselves to the fruit when they are in season.
The front door leads to a spacious comfortable living area with a fireplace for winter breaks, breakfast area with table & chairs and an open plan kitchen with a back door to the rear of the villa. The room has a dual aspect and is light & airy.
- To The Outside -
There is a large fully enclosed garden surrounding the villa.
The covered veranda and patios to the rear of the villa provide perfect relaxation areas.
A washing machine is available for the guests to use in an outside utility room accessed from the covered veranda.
- The Pool-
The 12m x 6m Pool is within the enclosed garden and for sole use of the guests.
- Inside the Villa -
The open plan living room, dining area and kitchen is light and airy. There is an open fireplace for the winter and air conditioning for the summer months. There are two armchairs, a double seater sofa-bed coffee table and tv.
The open plan kitchen is fully equipped.
There is a cooker, oven, fridge, sink, plenty of utensils, crockery, glasses and cooking pans.
There is a small inner hall from the lounge leading to the two bedrooms and bathroom with a further air conditioning unit.
Bedroom One with a king size bed there is also room for a single bed which can be provided upon request.
Bedroom Two can be made up as a king size bed or two singles there is also a cot.
There is a modern family bathroom with shower, w.c., sink & bidet.
- Games –
There is a full size outside table tennis table for the guests to use.
- Smoking Policy -
Smoking is allowed in the Courtyard and Covered Veranda, not in the Villa.
- Rental Rates -
450.00 GBP in the low season to 955.00 GBP per week in July, August & September.
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the advertiser's discretion.
Electricity consumption is extra and will be charged at cost based on meter readings.
A 30% Non Refundable deposit is required to secure bookings.
The remaining balance + damages deposit of £200 is required 6 weeks prior to the holiday.
The Euro equivalents have to be transferred to an Italian bank account to secure the booking.
The damages deposit will be refunded within seven working days subject to a satisfactory inventory.
